Some of the best Italian food can be found at Peasant restaurant. It has some of the most delectable Italian food in New York City. Upon entering Peasant restaurant you feel as if you are in a fallout shelter, but once inside the restaurant's atmosphere changes dramatically. The restaurant gives off a nice sense of home with its brick and wood interior. You'll find thick draperies lining the walls and candles on the table give off a warm glow. This is a great restaurant to take a date if you are looking for a great warm and romantic setting. Not to mention, the food is to die for and you'll leave wanting to come back for more.
In the mood for Japanese food? Then consider dining at Ippudo restaurant. Ippudo is a little restaurant located in the wonderful East Village. Due to it's popularity, you must make a reservation to eat here or else you could be waiting to get seated for longer than an hour. The food is delicious and worth every bite.
I know I covered a Japanese restaurant already, but I can't leave out Morimoto's. Yes, I am talking about Morimoto from Iron Chef America. Entering this restaurant feels as if you are being taking back to another place in time. The food is just amazing and the staff is friendly and has been trained to be highly professional. I just couldn't leave this restaurant off the list even though it is on the more expensive side, so I'm sorry for making you spend more money.
If you want a slice that you won't forget then check out the pizza at Fornino. You'll have to venture out to Brooklyn to grab a slice though. Upon arriving you'll be taken in by the friendly atmosphere and then you'll enjoy some of the best pizza in New York. This is a great place to take your family for a fun night out.
